EAPD Clinical Cases Poster Award (2 awards)

Description: This is a competition for the oral presentation of the full clinical approach of one (or more) Paediatric Dentistry clinical case(s), given by a young scientist. Candidates should be EAPD members in good standing who are under the age of 40 years on the date of the EAPD Seminar.

Award: There will be 2 prizes awarded. The winners receives an amount of €1000 and a certificate.
The winner is announced by the EAPD President at the Closing Ceremony of the Seminar.

Procedure: EAPD members wishing to participate in this competition must submit their abstracts during the submission period of the EAPD Seminar, indicating in the system that they are candidates for the Clinical Cases Poster Award. The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate all abstracts submitted for this competition. Among eligible abstracts and based on their ranking, a limited number will be shortlisted for entry into the competition at the Seminar. The presenting authors of the shortlisted abstracts will be informed by the Scientific Committee and must present their clinical cases as an Oral Presentation at the relevant EAPD Clinical Cases Award Competition session at the Seminar. The abstract should be presented by the pre-assigned presenting author otherwise the abstract will be withdrawn from the competition but can be presented as a regular abstract. The presentation by each shortlisted candidate will be judged by three senior members of the EAPD, who will decide on the winner for this award. 
Abstracts that were not shortlisted for entry into the Clinical Cases Poster Award Competition may still be accepted for Poster presentation at the Seminar.       
Clinical Case(s) abstract and presentation requirements: All abstracts submitted for the EAPD Clinical Cases Poster Award Competition should follow the instructions for authors regarding ‘clinical case report abstracts’ as they appear in the ‘Abstract submission guidelines for authors’ section.

Important Notes:

• This award is only open to any category of EAPD members in good standing (membership fee paid) under the age of 40 years on the date of the EAPD Seminar. All other applicants will be rejected.
• Authors participating in the Clinical Cases Poster Award Competition cannot apply for any other Award at the Seminar.

EAPD Young Researcher Travel Award (2 awards)

Description:  The Young Researcher Travel Award is an initiative of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry in order to support financially young researchers to attend and present their research work at the biennial Seminar of the EAPD. Candidates should be EAPD members in good standing who are under the age of 35 years on the date of the EAPD Seminar. 

Award: There will be 2 prizes awarded. Winners receive an amount of €1000 and a certificate.  
The winners are announced by the EAPD President, at the Closing Ceremony of the Seminar.

Procedure:  Young researchers wishing to be considered for this Award must submit their research abstracts during the submission period of the EAPD Seminar, indicating in the system that they are candidates for the Young Researcher Travel Award.  The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate all abstracts submitted for this competition. The winners of this award will be informed by the scientific committee soon after the closing date of the submission period, allowing them to plan their Seminar participation.  The prize of €1000 can be used by the candidate to cover registration, accommodation or travel expenses.  
Abstracts that were not selected for the Young Researcher Travel Award may still be accepted for presentation at the Seminar.         

Research abstract and presentation requirements: All research abstracts submitted for the EAPD Young Researcher Travel Award Competition should follow the instructions for authors regarding ‘research abstracts’ as they appear in the ‘Abstract submission guidelines for authors’ section.

• This award is only open to any category of EAPD members in good standing (membership fee paid) under the age of 35 years on the date of the EAPD Seminar. All other applicants will be rejected.Preference will be given to EAPD member young applicants from low economy countries and to those still on research or clinical training.
• Authors participating in the EAPD Young Researcher Travel Award Competition cannot apply for any other Award at the Seminar.
• By submitting an abstract for the EAPD Young Researcher Travel Award competition, the applicant declares not receiving funding from other sources, eg university, for participation in the Seminar.

EAPD Young Scientist Research Award (2 awards)

Description:  The continuously changing interests and knowledge in the field of Paediatric Dentistry have inspired the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry to organise an Award for the best research presentation on a subject of importance for Paediatric Dentistry, given by a young scientist.  Candidates should be EAPD members in good standing who are under the age of 40 years on the date of the EAPD Seminar. 

Award:  There will be 2 prizes awarded. Winners receive an amount of €1000 and a certificate. 
The winners are announced by the EAPD President, at the Closing Ceremony of the Seminar.
